Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a Diploma holder in Mechanical Technology to join our engineering team in Pasir Gudang, Malaysia. You will prepare 3D/2D drawings using AutoCAD, model HVAC equipment, and coordinate with engineering and production to meet client specifications.

Key tasks include creating cutting plans from 3D models, submitting shop drawings for manufacturing, and ensuring detail-oriented drawings that support efficient fabrication and project timelines. Experience minimum 5 years.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Mechanical Technology with at least 5 years of relevant experience.
• Strong knowledge of 3D modelling, 2D drafting, HVAC equipment and fittings.
• Excellent communication and coordination with engineering and production teams.
• Detail-oriented with ability to produce accurate engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

• Involve in preparation of project Vendor Data Master List (VDML) prior to start the engineering works.
• Preparing engineering 3D / 2D drawings by using AutoCAD software, for submission to Customer as per VDML plan date.
• Update and revise drawings as per Customer’s comments with advice from engineer in charged.
• Work closely with engineer in charged to ensure the works produces as per client specification.
• Attending coordinating meeting with customer if required.
• Perform 3D modeling of HVAC equipments and components.
• Review equipment drawings and discuss with engineer in charged if any concern prior to start modeling works.
• Ensure to receive detailed design information and dimension of all components required for modeling from engineer in charged.
• Preparing equipment and component cutting plan by extracting from 3D model and convert to AutoCAD version for CNC cutting.
• Prepare and submit cutting plan and parts assembly drawings to Production Dept. as per scheduled date.
• Prepare and submit shop drawings to Production Dept. for manufacturing process, as per fabrication list and scheduled date.
• Discussing and coordinating with manufacturing team if any issue related to the cutting plan, assembly drawing against manufacturing process.
• Preparing as built drawing submission to Customer for Project Final Documentation within agreed schedule

REQUIREMENTS

• Diploma in Mechanical Technology or an equivalent qualification with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
• Strong knowledge of 3D modelling, 2D drafting, HVAC equipment, and equipment fittings and assembly.
• Good communication skills with the ability to coordinate effectively with engineering and production teams.
• Detail-oriented, technically competent, and capable of producing accurate engineering drawings and supporting manufacturing activities.
