Job summary

Dynac Engineering Sdn Bhd in Malaysia is seeking a Mechanical Engineer (HVAC) to support design and project documentation for HVAC systems in line with customer specifications. You will review requirements, assist in calculating heat loads, and guide drafters to prepare engineering drawings for submission.

Ideal candidate has a Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering, is open to entry level, and can apply HVAC principles using relevant software.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Entry level or not required experience.
• Good understanding of HVAC system principles.
• Ability to design HVAC equipment per project specs.
• Proficient in HVAC engineering software.
• Strong interpersonal and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Review customer specifications and requirements.
• Prepare VDML prior to start of engineering works.
• Design HVAC process flow and philosophy per specs.
• Design major HVAC equipment (AHU, condenser, extract fan, dampers).
• Prepare detailed engineering calculations (heat load, pressure drop, etc.).
• Monitor and guide drafters in preparing drawings for submission.
• Prepare HVAC document procedures (FAT, erection, leak tests).
• Review drawings before submission to customer and production.
• Respond to customer comments within specified dates.
• Prepare and issue material requisitions to Purchasing.
• Attend and lead meetings with customer for technicalClarifications.
• Assist project team with engineering input for progress reports.
• Expedite engineering progress to obtain approvals on time.
• Involve in preparing final project documentation.
• Implement QMS ISO 9001:2015.

• 1. Review and understand customer technical specification and requirements.
• 2. To involve in preparing Project Vendor Data Master List (VDML) prior to start the engineering works.
• 3. Designing suitable HVAC system process flow concept and philosophy which shall comply with customer technical specification.
• 4. Designing HVAC Major Equipments which shall comply with customer technical specification, (Air Handling Unit, Condensing Unit, Extract fan, Dampers, etc).
• 5. Preparing Detail Engineering Calculations which are related to HVAC system design, (Heat load calculation, air pressure drop calculation, structure calculation, noise calculation, etc).
• 6. Monitoring and guiding draughtsman in preparing Engineering Drawings for Submission to customer.
• 7. Preparing HVAC Document Procedures such as FAT Procedures, Erection Installation Procedure, Leak Test Procedures, etc.)
• 8. Review and check all the Engineering Drawings before submission to customer and for production.
• 9. Review comments by customer on the Engineering drawings and documents and response accordingly within specified date.
• 10. Preparing and issuing Material Requisition for HVAC equipments and components to Purchasing Team.
• 11. To attend and lead meeting with customer for technical clarification and engineering progress.
• 12. Assist Project Team by providing related engineering input for the progress report for client review.
• 13. Monitoring and expediting Engineering progress to get documents and drawings approved within agreed schedule.
• 14. Involve in preparing Project Final Documentation and to ensure the document submitted within agreed schedule.
• 15. To implement QMS ISO 9001 : 2015.Any other related that may assign by the superior / management

EDUCATION REQUIREMENT & EXPERIENCE

Education - 1) Degree in Mechanical Engineering.

Work experience - 1) Not required & open to entry level.

• 2. Able to design good HVAC equipments which are complying to project specification and requirement.
• 3. Good skill in using related HVAC system engineering software.
