Job summary

Jabil in Penang, Malaysia seeks a Production Planner to manage all planning activities for a dedicated workcell and mentor junior staff. Your responsibilities include developing the Master Production Schedule (MPS), loading it into the ERP, reconciling it with customer PO coverage, and maintaining 95% MPS accuracy to meet on-time delivery goals.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree + 5 years of experience, or Masters + 3 years of related experience, or PhD without experience.
APICS certification and Supervisor experience also preferred.
Thorough knowledge of MRP, lead times for specific component types, internal run rates, test development lead times, machine programming lead times and complete understanding of the chronological sequence of events that must occur in order to build a product.

Responsibilities

Ensure 100% on-time delivery.
Establish build readiness for workcell.
Develop Master Production Schedule (MPS) and load into Jabil's ERP system, including PO coverage.
Reconcile the MPS to customer PO coverage weekly to ensure alignment with demand.
Maintain the MPS accuracy and target 95%.
Own production planning, BOM and document control.
Lead creation of Bills of Materials (BOMs) and routings for accurate WIP tracking.
End-of-Life management and planning meetings 30 days prior to last build date.
