Job summary

Celestica Malaysia is seeking a senior engineer to own the complete manufacturing test strategy for new electromechanical products, from design-phase test coverage to production-line test hardware, software, and procedures.

You will lead cross-functional efforts with R&D and Quality, implement DFT/DFM, troubleshoot yield issues, and drive continuous improvement through new test technologies, training technicians, and scalable test solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or related engineering discipline with 6-8 years in a manufacturing test environment.
• Demonstrated expertise in defining, developing, and implementing test strategies for new hardware products.
• Deep mastery of DFT and DFM principles and their practical application.
• Strong troubleshooting of electromechanical systems including sensors and DC circuits.
• Hands-on experience with test automation and scripting (Visual Basic, LabVIEW, Python).

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and own the complete manufacturing test strategy for new electromechanical products.
• Collaborate with R&D during the NPI process to define test coverage and embed DFT/DFM principles.
• Lead investigations into complex production yield issues and implement permanent corrective actions.
• Scout, evaluate, and implement cutting-edge test technologies to improve production efficiency and reduce costs.
• Develop training programs and troubleshooting guides for Test Technicians to raise team capability.
