Job summary

Celestica is seeking a senior engineer in Johor Bahru, Malaysia to design, develop, and implement the complete manufacturing test strategy for new electromechanical products. The role covers the entire test process from design phase coverage to creating and qualifying test hardware, software, and procedures for production.

You will work hands-on with test systems (VB) and collaborate with R&D to embed DFT/DFM, investigate yield issues, and drive continuous improvement through new test

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical engineering with relevant experience.
• 6–8 years in a manufacturing test environment.
• Experience defining and implementing test strategies for hardware products.
• Strong knowledge of DFT/DFM principles.
• Hands-on test automation with VB/LabVIEW/Python.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and own the complete manufacturing test strategy.
• Collaborate with R&D during NPI to embed DFT/DFM.
• Lead investigations into yield issues and implement corrective actions.
• Evaluate and adopt new test technologies to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
• Train technicians and mentor the test team.
