Job summary

Celestica in Johor Bahru, Malaysia, seeks a Senior Manufacturing Process Engineer to lead design, implementation and continuous improvement of complex manufacturing processes for semiconductor capital equipment. You will bridge R&D and Production, driving maximum efficiency, yield, and quality.

Responsibilities include DOE/SPC-driven process optimization, DFx feedback to designers, NPI procedures, calibration compliance, and mentorship of junior engineers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Manufacturing Engineering; diploma with 6+ years of relevant experience may be considered.
• 6–8 years of manufacturing engineering experience in semiconductor or heavy capital equipment.
• Proficiency in Design of Experiments (DOE) and Statistical Process Control (SPC).
• Familiarity with High Voltage and Insulation testing protocols.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement new manufacturing processes, tooling, and application software for complex capital equipment.
• Lead yield, productivity improvements, and cycle time reduction through systematic analysis and innovation.
• Assess machine and process capability using DOE and SPC to maximize throughput and cost-efficiency.
• Lead root-cause analysis for multistage product/process failures affecting operations.
• Provide feedback on manufacturability (DFM) to product designers for prototype-to-production readiness.
• Create and manage test procedures, assembly instructions, and NPI implementation processes.
• Ensure calibration and compliance of manufacturing and test equipment with procedures and standards.
• Provide advanced technical training and mentorship to production personnel.
