Job summary

Celestica Inc. in Malaysia seeks a Lead Engineer, Manufacturing Equipment to drive development, sourcing and deployment of automation equipment to support production lines.

You will lead hardware/software improvements, validate equipment (FAT/SAT), and coordinate with suppliers and process engineering to meet OEM and product requirements. This role emphasizes OEE, maintenance planning, and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 1–3 years of related experience.
• Experience in similar job roles.

Responsibilities

• Lead development, procurement and implementation of standard automation solutions to support customer product manufacturing equipment needs.
• Plan and lead hardware and software improvements of automated lines and off-the-shelf equipment, analyzing OEE and data; coordinate with solution providers.
• Lead and solve complex technical problems and manage FAT/SAT validations.
• Develop maintenance plans and oversee activities to achieve target performance and OEE improvements across multiple machines.
• Support customer road maps using URS, DFAA and PM workbook.
• Drive problem solving for machine failures, speed loss or quality issues.
• Work with Process Engineering to ensure equipment meets product manufacturing requirements.
