Job summary

Celestica is seeking a Staff Engineer, Manufacturing Process in Penang, Malaysia. This role drives the design, development, deployment and optimization of manufacturing processes to meet quality, cost and delivery goals for Celestica and its customers.

The position involves coordinating customer-specific process development projects, evaluating design concepts for manufacturing impact, and potentially serving as a Subject Matter Expert.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 7 to 10 years of related experience in process engineering or similar roles.

Responsibilities

• Understand customer technical roadmaps and manage new customer-specific process development projects.
• Manage technical aspects for all new customer-specific process development projects.
• Develop scope of technical work, coordinate the team, assign work, and assist with problem resolution for the full product lifecycle.
• Evaluate potential manufacturing impact for each design concept.
• Possibly act as Subject Matter Expert for a sub-sector of manufacturing.
• Develop best practice standards and provide training and application support globally.
