Senior Manufacturing Lead — Automation & Integration

Job summary

Ruhlamat Group in Penang seeks an experienced Manufacturing Leader to drive daily operations across mechanical and electrical assembly, test, and production readiness. You will translate project needs into manpower, space, tooling and schedules, while leading a team to meet milestones with strong Lean and QA practices.

You will collaborate across PM, Engineering, Software/PLC and Quality teams from design review through handover, manage risks, and guide continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level engineering degree in a related field.
• 8+ years in manufacturing or automation environments.
• 3+ years in supervisory/managerial roles.
• Experience with machine build, FAT/SAT, and commissioning.
• Leadership, planning and communication skills; travel capable.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily manufacturing activities: mechanical/electrical assembly, machine integration, testing and readiness.
• Translate project requirements into manpower, capacity, floor-space and tooling plans.
• Set priorities, allocate resources, monitor progress to meet milestones.
• Define and improve procedures, work instructions, controls and reporting.
• Collaborate with PM, Engineering, Software/PLC, Supply Chain and QA jusqu’au handover.
• Assess manufacturability, risks, material readiness and constraints in planning.
• Drive recovery plans for delays, quality issues or resource gaps.
• Provide status updates on manufacturing risk and actions to management.
• Ensure machines/modules are built and integrated per drawings, BOMs and specs.
• Support debugging, FAT, SAT, installation and commissioning activities.
• Resolve mechanical/electrical/software issues before handover; support site coordination.
• Adhere to EHS, 5S, risk controls and safe machine-build practices.
• Maintain complete documentation, inspection records and handover files.
