Job summary

Lam Research in Penang, Malaysia, invites a Fixtures Engineering leader to drive assembly and test operations across shifts. You will lead a team of Fixtures Engineers, Maintenance Engineers and Technicians, ensuring availability, reliability, and production readiness in a 24x7 environment.

You will develop a Total Productive Maintenance strategy, drive RCCA and 8D problem-solving, and partner with global teams to ramp new products and sustain production excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• 8–10 years of relevant technical experience in manufacturing, test, fixtures, or related engineering functions.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings and schematics.
• Experience leading and scaling teams of design, systems, or manufacturing engineers.
• Demonstrated collaboration across organizational boundaries in a large organization.
• Excellent interpersonal communication and people management skills.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills (RCCA/8D).
• Familiar with virtual manufacturing and model‑based design techniques.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Fixtures Engineering team, including coaching and capability development.
• Own Fixtures Engineering execution for assembly and test operations across all shifts with KPI reporting.
• Develop a Total Productive Maintenance strategy for test systems and fixtures.
• Drive RCCA, containment and permanent corrective actions (8D).
• Partner with Operations, Test Engineering, Quality and Global teams for ramp and sustaining readiness.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives for productivity, reliability, and standardization.
