Private Advertiser in Malaysia seeks a PCBA Engineer to develop, evaluate and optimize SMT/DIP manufacturing processes, driving efficiency and reducing defects across production lines.
You will support line performance, perform root-cause analysis, and implement CAPA while ensuring compliance with IPC and customer requirements, with strong Excel and ERP/MES data analysis skills.
Develop, evaluate, and optimize PCBA manufacturing processes (SMT, DIP, reflow/wave soldering, and final assembly) to improve efficiency, reduce cycle time, and minimize defects and material waste.
Provide production support and troubleshooting by monitoring line performance, identifying bottlenecks, performing root cause analysis, and implementing corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
Set up and maintain PCBA production equipment (e.g., screen printers, pick-and-place machines, reflow ovens, SPI/AOI/ICT, functional test systems), including commissioning, programming, calibration, and preventive maintenance.
Drive quality and process control by establishing standards aligned to IPC, customer, and regulatory requirements; support improvement using SPC, PFMEA, control plans, and process capability analysis.
Maintain documentation and standardization across manufacturing operations, including work instructions, process flows, SOPs, machine parameters, and engineering change documentation (ECN/ECO).
Lead continuous improvement and NPI support by participating in Lean/Kaizen/Six Sigma/yield initiatives, ensuring safety/EHS compliance, and collaborating on DFM/DFT reviews, process validation, pilot builds, and mass-production transition.
Bachelor’s degree in Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum 3 years of experience in PCBA manufacturing and/or process engineering within SMT/DIP or electronics manufacturing.
Strong knowledge of PCBA processes and test/inspection methods (SMT, DIP, reflow/wave soldering, AOI, SPI, ICT, functional testing, and ESD control).
Knowledge of manufacturing documentation and systems (SOPs, work instructions, PFMEA, control plans, ECO/ECN) plus proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with familiarity with ERP/MES and production data analysis.
