Job summary

Epic Corporation is actively seeking a senior operations leader in Malaysia to oversee offshore oil & gas projects, including maintenance, hook‑up and commissioning activities. You will lead multiple project teams, manage contractors, and ensure safe, timely and cost‑effective execution across sites.

The ideal candidate has 15+ years in oil & gas with at least 5 years in a senior managerial role, strong leadership, cost control and stakeholder management skills, and is willing to travel to

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Operations Management or a related discipline.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, including at least 5 years in a senior managerial role.
• Strong experience in offshore maintenance, construction, hook‑up and commissioning (HUC), or project operations.
• Demonstrated experience in managing project performance, profitability, schedules and client expectations.
• Willing to travel and mobilise to project or offshore locations when required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the overall operations of EPIC OG’s projects to ensure safe, timely and cost‑effective execution.
• Develop operational strategies, work plans and resource requirements in line with the company’s objectives.
• Monitor project progress, operational performance, costs, manpower utilisation and profitability.
• Manage Project Managers and operational teams to achieve project targets and client expectations.
• Coordinate the deployment of manpower, equipment, materials, subcontractors and other project resources.
• Drive continuous improvement in operational efficiency, productivity, cost control and work quality.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Operations Management or a related discipline.

• Strong leadership, decision‑making, problem‑solving and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to engage effectively with clients, management and operational team
• Proficient in written and spoken English and Bahasa Malaysia.
• Willing to travel and mobilise to project or offshore locations when required.
• Lead and oversee the overall operations of EPIC OG’s projects to ensure safe, timely and cost‑effective execution.

• Ensure all operations comply with contractual requirements, HSE standards, company procedures and applicable regulations.
• Manage Project Managers and operational teams to achieve project targets and client expectations.
• Coordinate the deployment of manpower, equipment, materials, subcontractors and other project resources.
• Identify operational risks, delays and commercial issues, and implement timely corrective actions.
• Maintain strong working relationships with clients, subcontractors, vendors and other stakeholders.
• Review operational and financial reports and present performance updates to the Management.
• Support tender preparation, project planning, budgeting and operational readiness for new projects.
• Drive continuous improvement in operational efficiency, productivity, cost control and work quality.
• Lead the resolution of major operational issues and ensure proper follow‑up until closure.
• Develop team capability through coaching, performance monitoring and succession planning.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the Management.
