Job summary

DFINITI is seeking a qualified Project Manager to lead and oversee engineering projects in Malaysia. You will plan, coordinate, and monitor activities, ensuring milestones, budgets, and safety standards are met while interfacing with clients and stakeholders.

The role requires a degree in engineering and at least 5 years in project management, preferably in Oil & Gas, with strong English communication and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Degree in any related Engineering field.
• At least 5 years’ working experience in project management, preferably in Oil and Gas Industries.
• Good command of written and spoken English.
• Independent and able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for planning, coordinating, monitoring, and executing engineering projects to ensure completion within schedule, budget, quality, and safety requirements.
• Coordinate and monitor project activities, schedules, and progress to ensure milestones are achieved.
• Monitor compliance to applicable codes, practices, QA/QC policies, performance standards and specifications
• Interact daily with the clients to interpret their needs and requirements and represent them in the field.
• Liaise with clients, vendors, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure smooth project execution.
• Perform overall quality control of the work (budget, schedule, plans, personnel’s performance) and report regularly on project status.
• Prepare progress reports and update management regularly.
• Cooperate and communicate effectively with project manager and other project participants to provide assistance and technical support.
• Ensure all engineering and technical issues are resolved promptly.
• Identify project risks and propose corrective actions.

REQUIREMENTS

• Organized, meticulous and self-disciplined.
• Possess good interpersonal and communication skills and confidence in dealing with clients at international level.
• Able to manage multiple projects and work under pressure.
• Experience in complete project execution cycle from kick off meeting, engineering, documentation, procurement, production and fabrication, FAT and SAT.
• Good command of written and spoken English.
• Independent and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
