Job summary

Sime Industrial is seeking a seasoned Lead Project Manager to head the Project Management team delivering Oil and Gas projects in Malaysia. You will oversee cross-functional execution, manage scope, scheduling, cost, and safety to ensure on-time delivery within budget.

Responsibilities include leading the project execution team across all segments, driving customer satisfaction, and maintaining safe work practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related engineering.
• 5-7 years experience in Power Systems or related business.
• Knowledge of electrical power engineering, rotating equipment, controls, materials, fabrication methods and power generation.
• Strong written and spoken English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the project management team for Oil and Gas projects.
• Ensure projects are delivered within budget and on schedule.
• Uphold safety; produce risk assessments and safe systems of work.
• Recruit, develop engineers, and improve department productivity.
• Stay updated on company products and activities for effective performance.

Lead and manage the Project management team in delivering and execution of Oil and Gas projects

Lead and manage project execution team for all segments to successfully carry out projects within budgeted cost and within time.

To ensure customer satisfaction with the product and services.

Accountable for the safety of engineering personnel and provision of a safe workplace, including the production of Risk Assessments and safe systems of work

Lead and motivate a team of engineers to continuously improve professionalism for self and department productivity. Recruit and develop candidates to meet the needs of the company.

Continuously update knowledge of company and related products and activities for effective job performance.

Job Requirement:

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical or related engineering.

Minimum 5-7 years experience in Power Systems or related business with relevant knowledge in areas of electrical power engineering, rotating equipment, instruments and controls, materials, fabrication methods / procedures, heat transfer, noise control, Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) methods and relevant subjects related to power generation and project management

Good communication skills, both written and spoken.

Good command of English and possess effective writing skills and presentation capabilities
