Job summary

DHL Asia Pacific Shared Services Sdn Bhd is seeking a Senior Manager, Business Development (Contract Logistics) in Penang. The role focuses on developing strategies, driving new business opportunities, and leading initiatives to achieve revenue targets within the contract logistics space.

The successful candidate will bring a proven BD track record in logistics, extensive sales experience, and strong presentation skills to engage key corporate customers and expand market share.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in relevant field with at least 7 years BD exposure in similar 3PL role.
• At least 10 years of total experience in sales/business development field.
• Experience in large scale business development/sales in contract logistics.
• Business development experience (proposal design , costing, commercial awareness).
• Excellent presentation skills.
• Proven BD/Sales record in logistics industry.

Responsibilities

• Developing strategy, tactics, sales plans and profit targets.
• Drive and develop new business opportunities.
• Drive market profiling to understand and identify market opportunities.
• Lead sales initiatives to drive revenue growth.
• Identifying and reporting on business opportunities in target markets.
• Maximizing new business development opportunities on external market.
• Taking responsibilities for profit and loss.
• Achieving targets for revenue, profitability, and sales growth.
• Develop and maintain strong existing customer relation and loyalty.
• Respond to customer enquiries / complaints.
• Lead in engagements and strategic customer interface with key Corporate Customers.
