Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a Senior Maintenance Technician to perform preventive, corrective, and troubleshooting maintenance on CNC machines and production equipment. You will work closely with the Maintenance Engineer and production team to minimize downtime and ensure reliable operation.

Ideal candidates have 2–5 years of CNC maintenance experience and hands-on knowledge of major CNC systems such as Haas, Fanuc, Mitsubishi, Siemens or Mazak. Shift flexibility may be required.

Qualifications

• Diploma or certificate in mechanical, electrical, mechatronics, or related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in CNC machine maintenance within manufacturing.
• Hands-on experience with Haas, Fanuc, Mitsubishi, Siemens or Mazak CNC systems is an advantage.
• Ability to read technical drawings, electrical schematics and maintenance manuals.
• Willing to work on shift if required.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance for CNC machines and production equipment.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic issues related to CNC machinery.
• Diagnose machine breakdowns and carry out repairs in a timely manner.
• Monitor machine performance and ensure equipment runs efficiently.
• Support machine installation, setup and commissioning activities.
• Maintain maintenance records and documentation accurately.
• Coordinate with production and engineering teams to minimize downtime.
• Ensure maintenance activities comply with safety regulations and company standards.
• Assist in continuous improvement initiatives to improve machine reliability and productivity.
• Support spare parts inventory control and recommend replacements.

Job Requirements

• Diploma / Certificate in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or related field
• Minimum 2-5 years of experience in CNC machine maintenance within manufacturing environment
• Hands-on experience with CNC machines such as Haas, Fanuc, Mitsubishi, Siemens, or Mazak systems is an added advantage.
• Knowledge in mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting
• Ability to read technical drawings, electrical schematics, and maintenance manuals
• Familiar with preventive maintenance planning and troubleshooting techniques.
• Able to work independently with minimum supervision
• Good problem-solving skills and teamwork attitude
• Willing to work on shift if required
