Job summary

Valeo is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor for the APU organization in Malaysia (Penang) to lead maintenance teams and uphold safety, quality and process standards. The role focuses on training, certification, and development of team capabilities, while driving continuous improvement initiatives and TPM practices.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety rules for maintenance activities are known and applied by the team.
• Induct newcomers and organize training actions to ensure procedures, tools and standards are known and applied in their job.
• Organize and schedule training actions so the team understands procedures, tools and standards to know and apply.
• Ensure team is trained in Line QRQC, Maintenance QRQC, Maintenance 5 WHYs, red tags use, and understands actions and timing.
• Analyze flexibility and multi-skills needs of the team and define training plans to improve autonomy and improvement spirit.
• Monitor certification processes for each member and update the flexibility grid in real time.
• Manage daily attendance, holidays, safety rule enforcement, risk analysis and KPIs.
• Ensure that standards of reaction are applied with rigor and escalate according to standards.
• Follow up objectives in monthly meetings with the team; ensure positive social climate.
• Conduct annual appraisals and salary reviews; promote ERIM & TPM.
• Perform OJT of teams daily on implemented standards.
• Enforce health, safety, environmental and site rules; ensure entry is compliant.
• Maintain updated maintenance work instructions and ensure adherence to all standards (safety, quality, 5S, OK start).
• Develop maintenance standards with the team; ensure ERIM standards are deployed and used for root cause analysis.
• Lead PDCA/FTA & Maintenance 5 WHYs on topics assigned by the Maintenance Manager; support major technical issues.
