Molex Malaysia Auto Assembly Department seeks a Senior Maintenance Engineer to lead a team and ensure peak equipment performance with minimal downtime. You will drive preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance, coordinating with production, engineering, supply and quality teams to support growth and technical improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, manufacturing, or related engineering field.
• 5–8 years of maintenance engineering experience in manufacturing, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of automated production systems, PLC-controlled machinery, and mechanical/electrical troubleshooting.
• Proven track record in preventing and predicting maintenance strategies (PM/PR/RCM/TPM).
• Ability to read mechanical/electrical drawings and perform technical calculations.
• Proficiency with CMMS and maintenance-related software tools.
• Strong leadership, organization and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities.

Responsabilités

• Lead and mentor a team of maintenance engineers and technicians, providing technical guidance and performance feedback.
• Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance plans to ensure equipment reliability.
• Oversee breakdown response activities with root-cause analysis to prevent recurrence.
• Manage maintenance budgets, spare parts inventory, and resource allocation.
• Plan and execute equipment upgrades, retrofits and installation projects.
• Collaborate with production, engineering, supply and quality teams to address equipment-related quality issues.
• Establish and maintain maintenance procedures and ISO/IATF/safety compliance records.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, TPM and Six Sigma to reduce downtime.
• Liaise with external vendors for repairs, procurement and technical support.
• Train and upskill maintenance staff on troubleshooting, safety and new technologies.
• Support development and handover of new machines from Manufacturing Engineering.
