Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to oversee the engineering department and manage daily maintenance across packaging equipment at Jalan Welfare, Kg Baru Sg Buloh. You will coordinate parts purchasing, spare parts inventory, and supplier relationships to ensure reliable service and minimal downtime.

The role requires strong electrical skills with PLC control systems and a track record in preventive maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the Engineering Department and ensure smooth daily maintenance operations.
• Manage the purchase of spare parts, tools, and maintenance-related materials.
• Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery and reliable service.
• Source, evaluate, and recommend suitable suppliers for maintenance requirements.
• Possess strong technical knowledge of packaging machinery and related production processes, including:
  • Carbonated beverage systems and related equipment
  • Batching process systems
  • Carbonated drink filling, rinser and capper machines
  • In-line CO2 adjustment for products
  • RO water systems
• Liaise with relevant government authorities, including DOE, BOMBA, and JKKP, with support from the Production Executive where required.
• Monitor and improve machine-related yield performance while reducing wastage.
• Take full responsibility for spare parts, tools, and maintenance inventory control.
• Develop and maintain machinery service schedules, including preventive maintenance activities such as oil changes and routine inspections.
• Provide hands‑on support for machinery troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance.
• Supervise and guide Maintenance Executives and Maintenance Technicians as required.
• Prepare and implement standard operating procedures for machine repair and maintenance.
• Prepare breakdown reports covering downtime, costs incurred, root causes, and recommended corrective actions.
• Prepare proposals for machinery upgrades and process improvements.

Requirements

• Prior experience working with high-speed bottling line equipment.
• Electrical experience with a solid understanding of PLC control systems.
• Able to work independently and experienced in preventive maintenance practices.
