Job summary

IOI Properties Group Berhad is seeking a Senior M&E Construction Manager in Malaysia to oversee progress of complex high-rise and mixed development projects. You will ensure M&E deliverables meet contract specs, drawings, quality standards and timelines, while coordinating approvals and budget control.

You will lead a team, liaise with authorities and consultants, and drive value engineering and cost control. This role demands integrity, initiative, and the ability to perform under pressure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent
• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in a similar capacity with high-rise/mixed development exposure
• Sound knowledge of M&E systems, authority compliance guidelines, and QLASSIC standards
• Strong leadership with cross-stakeholder liaison across authorities, consultants, contractors
• High integrity, professional ethics, and self-initiative
• Demonstrated analytical, problem-solving, and cost-control skills
• Ability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

• Oversee and monitor progress of construction works to ensure M&E deliverables meet contract specs, drawings, quality, and timelines
• Assist in securing statutory approvals across project phases, including layouts and endorsements
• Finalize design details and material proposals; identify value engineering opportunities
• Support financial forecasting, prepare budgets, track expenditures, analyze variances
• Participate in site valuations to determine payments and issue withholding instructions for non-compliance
• Enforce PQP and QMS, targeting a minimum 75 in QLASSIC assessments
• Supervise contractor rectification work and guide direct reports (Project Executives, Coordinators, Resident Engineers, Admin staff)
• Maintain accurate project documentation and provide progress reports to senior management
