Job summary

IOI Properties Group Berhad is seeking a Senior Manager, Project to lead and monitor large construction projects including Retail Mall, Hotel and Residential developments in Malaysia. You will ensure compliance with contract terms, drawings and work programmes while guiding project teams and coordinating with consultants and internal departments.

The role requires a degree in Architecture, Civil/Structural Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Building or Construction Management and a minimum of 15

Qualifications

• Degree in Architecture, Civil/Structural Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Building, Construction Management or related discipline.
• Minimum 15 years' relevant experience.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with ability to lead project team and coordinate with internal departments, consultants and contractors.

Responsibilities

• Lead, monitor and control progress of construction works to ensure compliance with contract terms.
• Obtain approvals from authorities for layout plan, earthworks, infrastructure and building plans.
• Lead and coordinate with consultants during design stages to ensure drawings are prepared within stipulated timeframe.
• Ensure Quality Management System Manual and Project Quality Plan (PQP) are adhered to during construction.
• Report to General Manager on progress and problem areas, especially defective, outstanding, non-conforming or delayed works.
• Minimise variation orders incurred during implementation stage.
• Review design development and tender drawings to ensure consultants have optimized the design.
• Ensure as-built drawings are prepared and kept at headquarters prior to issuance of certificate of practical completion.
• Implement corrective and preventive actions and manage risks to avoid delays or reputational damage.
• Make strategic decisions and provide leadership and direction to project managers.
