Sum Technic Sdn Bhd in Penang is seeking a Senior Project Engineer (M&E) to assist the Project Manager in planning, coordinating, and executing M&E works on site. The role requires strong technical knowledge and hands-on supervision of site activities.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering with 5–8 years of experience in M&E contracting or construction, and have experience in clean room or semiconductor/pharmaceutical/food construction contexts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• 5–8 years experience in M&E contracting or construction industry.
• Strong technical knowledge of M&E systems and installation practices.

Responsibilities

• Support project planning, scheduling, and execution of M&E works.
• Prepare technical drawings, shop drawings, and method statements.
• Supervise site activities, ensuring compliance with specifications and safety standards.
• Liaise with consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers for technical coordination.
• Conduct inspections, testing, and commissioning of M&E systems.
• Assist in preparing progress reports, material requisitions, and documentation.
• Provide technical support and resolve site issues promptly.
