Job summary

Talent Recruit represents a client delivering Electrical and Mechanical engineering solutions across ELV, ACMV & HVAC, Data Center, and related systems. They seek a Project Manager (M&E) to join the team in Penang, Malaysia.

The role involves planning, coordinating, and delivering industrial M&E projects on time and within budget, managing resources and stakeholders, and ensuring quality and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• 5–7 years’ experience in project management in M&E for industrial projects.
• Ability to interact with all levels of management and staff.
• Must possess good planning and analytical skills.
• Willing to work half day on Saturday.

Responsibilities

• Plan, execute, and deliver industrial projects within established deadlines and budgets.
• Define project objectives, scope, and deliverables in alignment with client and business requirements.
• Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and communication documentation.
• Communicate project expectations clearly to internal teams, subcontractors, consultants, and clients.
• Estimate resources, manpower, and materials required to achieve project goals.
• Monitor and manage project progress, ensuring quality, cost control, and timeline adherence.
• Delegate tasks and responsibilities effectively to project team members.
• Identify, manage, and resolve project risks, conflicts, and technical issues.
• Track milestones and provide regular progress reports to management and stakeholders.
• Oversee the full project lifecycle including planning, coordination, installation, testing, and handover.
• Coordinate M&E works for commercial buildings including power distribution systems, lighting systems, ELV systems, HVAC coordination, fire protection systems, and authority approvals.
• Liaise with consultants, main contractors, local authorities, and utility providers where required.
