ORYX STAINLESS GROUP is expanding its Malaysia operations in Johor, Tanjung Langsat, and seeks a Senior Logistics Officer to manage inbound/outbound shipments, documentation, and regulatory compliance. You will coordinate freight forwarders, ensure HS codes and Incoterms are applied correctly, prepare customs reports, and support cross-border activities within ASEAN.

From our production facilities in the Europe and Asia, we supply the biggest smelters worldwide for their stainless steel production. After the huge success of our Thailand operation, we now commence operations on our second Asian facility in Johor, Tanjung Langsat.
We source in Malaysia, from neighbouring countries, rest of APAC and globally.Our end product is all exported to smelters in the region.
Coordinating import shipments with our suppliers, having the right import documents and approval on time and coordinating haulage is not only an important aspect of our customer experience but also crucial for our operation to receive the raw materials on time.
Equally important is the timely shipment, on a daily basis, of large volumes of containers to our customer.
To support our continued growth, we are looking for a:
Review and verify inbound shipping documents to ensure accuracy and compliance with company requirements.
Prepare, process, and review export documentation for international shipments.
Apply for and coordinate regulatory approvals, including SIRIM Certificate of Approval (COA), Approved Permits (AP), and Free Trade Agreement (FTA) Certificates of Origin.
Liaise with SIRIM officers regarding inspection requirements, scheduling, and related arrangements.
Coordinate closely with freight forwarders, shipping lines, customs brokers, and relevant authorities to ensure smooth shipment execution.
Classify products using the appropriate HS Codes and ensure proper application of Incoterms.
Monitor shipment schedules, track delivery status, and proactively resolve logistics issues.
Ensure compliance with customs regulations, import/export requirements, and company policies.
Prepare customs-related reports and maintain accurate documentation records.
Respond to customer inquiries regarding shipment status and logistics matters.
Diploma or bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
Minimum 4-5 years of experience in logistics, shipping, import/export, or freight forwarding operations.
Knowledge of customs regulations, SIRIM requirements, AP permits, FTA documentation, HS Codes, and Incoterms.
Strong coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
Ability to work independently while managing multiple shipments and deadlines.
