Job Description

Commercial contracts

• Prepare, vet and negotiate high-value agreements, including telecom equipment supply contracts,
• master service agreements, turnkey subcontractor agreements and NDAs.
• Assess major tender submissions for exposure on liability, indemnities, liquidated damages and
• warranties.

Regulatory and corporate compliance

• Keep the business compliant with MCMC regulations, company law and the PDPA.
• Maintain company secretarial records, handle local licensing, and uphold corporate governance standards.

Disputes and external counsel

• Resolve commercial disputes before they reach litigation, including contractor claims and debt recovery.
• Work with outside Malaysian law firms to obtain specialist opinions and manage court or dispute proceedings.

Requirements

• LL.B. from a reputable university. Admission as an Advocate & Solicitor in Malaysia is strongly preferred.
• About 10 years in corporate and commercial legal work. Exposure to ICT, telecom or large infrastructure projects is an advantage.
• Strong command of Malaysian contract law, procurement rules, MCMC guidelines and commercial dispute resolution.
