Job summary

Hartalega is seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to lead end-to-end delivery of complex technology initiatives in Malaysia. You will guide cross-functional teams, align project goals with business strategy, and manage budgets, risks, and stakeholder expectations across departments.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years in IT with 5+ years in project management and at least 3-5 years in a leadership role, familiar with Agile and Waterfall approaches.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in PM/Engineering/IT or related field.
• 8+ years IT experience with at least 5 years in project management.
• 3-5 years in managerial role with people management.
• Experience across IT domains (operations, infra, cybersecurity, consulting).
• Proven track record delivering large-scale, multi-stakeholder projects.
• Experience with Agile and Waterfall or hybrid methods.
• Budget management, vendor negotiation and contract oversight.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end delivery of IT projects from initiation to closure.
• Lead cross-functional teams, coordinate resources, manage budget.
• Apply PM methodologies to mitigate risk and maintain stakeholder communication.
• Plan, execute and close projects within scope, time, budget and quality.
• Define scope, governance and stakeholder engagement plans.
• Develop and lead detailed project plans, monitor milestones and budgets.
• Manage relationships with stakeholders and vendors for delivery.
