Job summary

SBM Offshore is seeking an IT Project Manager for Malaysia to lead IT initiatives from initiation to completion. The role requires guiding cross‑functional teams, delivering on time and within budget, and driving stakeholder alignment.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s in CS/IT/Business Admin, 7+ years in IT project management, hands-on experience in infrastructure, software development, and system integration, plus PMP/PRINCE2/CSM certifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, business administration, or a related field.
• Certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, or Certified ScrumMaster (CSM).
• Master’s Degree in project management, business administration, or related field preferred.
• Minimum 7 years of IT project management experience.
• Hands-on experience in IT infrastructure, software development, and system integration.
• Experience with project management tools such as Microsoft Project and JIRA.
• Proven ability in budget management, resource allocation, and financial oversight.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage multiple medium complexity IT projects from initiation to completion.
• Develop comprehensive project plans with timelines, milestones, and risk management.
• Coordinate cross-functional project teams and ensure effective communication.
• Define project objectives, scope, and deliverables aligned with goals.
• Monitor progress, KPI tracking, and regular stakeholder status reports.
• Identify and mitigate project risks; resolve issues promptly.
• Manage project budgets and resource usage within constraints.
• Conduct kick-off, progress, and post-implementation reviews.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and organizational policies.
