Job summary

Efinix Technology (M) Sdn. Bhd. is seeking an experienced IT Engineer to design, implement, and maintain the technology infrastructure that supports our organization. The role collaborates with hardware and design engineering teams in FPGA workflows and lab environments.

The ideal candidate will manage servers, storage, networking, and cloud platforms, while ensuring security, documentation, and on‑call support in a fast‑paced manufacturing atmosphere.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT, CS, EE or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• 8+ years in information technology, systems administration, or network engineering.
• Hands-on experience with Windows Server and Linux administration.
• Strong networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, VLANs, DNS, DHCP, routing/switching.
• Experience with virtualization: VMware, Hyper-V, or similar.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure: AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Scripting/automation: PowerShell, Python, Bash.
• Strong troubleshooting and multi-tasking in fast-paced environments.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and maintain servers, storage, networking, and virtualization.
• Administer and support AD, Windows/Linux servers, cloud platforms, backups.
• Support EDA/CAD tool environments, compute farms, and license servers.
• Manage endpoint security, patching, and compliance across devices.
• Troubleshoot escalated infrastructure and network issues (Tier 2/3).
• Evaluate and implement new technologies to improve reliability and scalability.
• Maintain network infrastructure including switches, routers, firewalls, VPNs.
• Document configurations, SOPs, and infrastructure architecture.
• Participate in on-call rotation and onboarding/offboarding processes.
