Job summary

Efinix (Hong Kong) Limited in Penang, Malaysia, seeks a senior semiconductor test engineer to lead the development of V93K-based test programs. You will define scalable architectures, implement reusable test frameworks, and drive coverage across digital, CRAM, and configuration domains.

Responsibilities include silicon bring-up, test feature integration (MBIST, JTAG, IDDQ), and optimizing test flows for speed and reliability. Requires 10+ years in test development and strong scripting skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in semiconductor test development.
• Proven experience developing test programs from scratch on Advantest V93K (SmarTest 7).
• Strong test method development and programming skills within the V93K environment.
• Ability to work independently and drive development to completion with minimal guidance.
• Experience in FPGA or programmable logic device testing.
• Familiarity with CRAM or embedded memory test methodologies.
• Knowledge of high-speed interfaces (e.g., DDR, SerDes).
• Experience with scripting (Python, Perl) for automation.
• Experience building reusable test frameworks or libraries.

Responsibilities

• Develop V93K test programs from scratch using SmarTest 7.
• Define scalable test architectures, reusable frameworks, and test methodologies for FPGA devices.
• Integrate test content across digital, CRAM/embedded memory, and device configuration/functional validation domains.
• Collaborate with content teams to ensure seamless integration and test coverage.
• Perform silicon bring-up, ensuring proper integration of scan, MBIST, JTAG, IDDQ, and related test features.
• Optimize test flows for scalability, maintainability, and test time efficiency.
• Support NPI activities, including test program release and hardware validation (load board, probe card).
• Maintain high standards for code quality, documentation, and version control.
• Provide technical leadership and drive best practices in test development and methodology.
