Job summary

Mankind Space Creation in Malaysia is seeking an experienced Senior Interior Designer who can independently develop strong design concepts and present practical solutions confidently to clients.

You will lead design development and client presentations across residential and commercial renovation projects, balancing aesthetics with budgets and site conditions while guiding junior designers.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of relevant interior design experience.
• Diploma or Degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, Architecture, or related field.
• Strong design, space-planning, and conceptual-development skills.
• Able to independently handle client meetings and design presentations.
• Able to present multiple design solutions and explain rationale.

Responsibilities

• Understand client requirements, preferences, budget, and project objectives.
• Develop creative and practical interior design concepts.
• Propose multiple design solutions when required.
• Prepare space planning, mood boards, material selections, and presentation materials.
• Present design concepts clearly and confidently to clients.
• Explain design rationale, functionality, and buildability considerations.
• Conduct site visits and measurements as needed.
• Ensure proposals suit actual site conditions.
• Coordinate with sales, project, QS, and site teams.
• Review and improve designs based on client feedback.
• Guide junior designers when required.

Mankind Space Creation is looking for an experienced Senior Interior Designer who can independently develop strong design concepts and present practical solutions confidently to clients.

You will be mainly responsible for design development and client presentations across residential and commercial renovation projects.

We are looking for someone who is not only creative, but also understands client needs, site conditions, materials, budgets, and how a design can be realistically executed.

Key Responsibilities

Understand client requirements, preferences, budget, and project objectives.

Develop creative and practical interior design concepts.

Propose multiple design solutions when required.

Prepare space planning, mood boards, material selections, and presentation materials.

Present design concepts clearly and confidently to clients.

Explain the design rationale, functionality, and practical considerations behind each proposal.

Conduct site visits and measurements when necessary.

Ensure design proposals are suitable for actual site conditions.

Work closely with the sales, project, QS, and site teams.

Review and improve designs based on client feedback.

Guide junior designers when required.

Requirements

Minimum 5 years of relevant interior design experience.

Proficient in relevant interior design and presentation software.

Preferred Experience

Experience in commercial renovation projects such as offices, retail spaces, showrooms, restaurants, or other business premises.

Candidates with strong residential renovation experience are also encouraged to apply.

Experience working in a renovation or design-and-build company.

Experience presenting design proposals directly to clients.
