Job summary

Compact Contech Sdn. Bhd. in Nusajaya, Johor seeks an experienced Interior Designer (Mandarin required) to develop creative concepts, prepare drawings, and support project delivery from concept to completion.

The role requires Mandarin communication with Mandarin-speaking clients and stakeholders, plus proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, and MS Office. A minimum of 3 years in interior design, fit-out, or design & build is expected.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Mandarin, English, and Bahasa Malaysia.

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Interior Design or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant interior design or design & build experience.
• Experience in commercial, office, retail, hospitality, or residential projects preferred.
• Strong knowledge of materials, space planning, and building coordination.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills; able to work independently.

We are seeking a creative and experiencedInterior Designer(Mandarin required) to join our team in the interior design & construction industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing creative interior design concepts, preparing detailed drawings, coordinating projects, and supporting site implementation from concept to completion.

Key Responsibilities

Design & Planning

Develop creative interior design concepts and space planning solutions.

Prepare design presentations, mood boards, and client proposals.

Produce detailed interior design drawings, layouts, and construction documentation.

Select materials, finishes, furniture, fixtures, and lighting suitable for project requirements.

Ensure designs meet client requirements, project budgets, and timelines.

Mandarin is required to communicate effectively with Mandarin-speaking clients.

Project Coordination

Liaise with clients, contractors, suppliers, consultants, and internal project teams.

Mandarin is required to communicate effectively with Mandarin-speaking clients, contractors, suppliers, and stakeholders.

Coordinate design details and material selections throughout the project.

Attend client meetings, site meetings, and project discussions.

Review shop drawings, material samples, and mock-ups for approval.

Site & Construction

Conduct regular site inspections to monitor project progress.

Ensure site works are carried out according to approved drawings and specifications.

Resolve design-related issues during construction.

Coordinate design revisions and updates when required.

Mandarin is required to communicate effectively with Mandarin-speaking clients, contractors, suppliers, and stakeholders.

Documentation

Prepare detailed working drawings, construction details, and specifications.

Maintain project documentation, drawing revisions, and material schedules.

Ensure proper document control throughout the project lifecycle.

Job Requirements

Language
