Jora Malaysia invites an Interior Design professional to join our team in Penang. You will develop interior design concepts, mood boards, space planning, and compelling client presentations, translating requirements into coordinated design schemes and visuals.
You will liaise with clients, suppliers, and contractors on site, conduct measurements, review drawings, and support tender submissions. A degree and 1–2 years experience are expected, with Mandarin, English, and Bahasa Malaysia

Prepare interior design concepts, mood boards, space planning, and presentation materials.
Prepare 3D visuals, perspectives, and design proposals for client presentation.
Coordinate with clients to understand requirements, design preferences, and project objectives.
Liaise with project team, consultants, suppliers, and contractors to ensure design intent is properly implemented on site.
Conduct site visits to take measurements, check site conditions, and monitor design-related works.
Review shop drawings, material samples, and site installation works when required.
Assist in preparing presentation boards, material boards, and tender/design submission documents.
Ensure design works are completed within the required timeline and project requirements.
Support project handover by assisting with final touch-up coordination, design compliance checks, preparation of as-built drawings, and O&M documentation.
Candidate must possess at least a Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or equivalent.
At least 1–2 years of working experience in interior design, architecture, or related field is required.
Preferably Junior Executive specialised in Interior Design, Architecture, or equivalent.
Able to communicate in Mandarin, English, and Bahasa Malaysia to handle different customer groups. "We are looking for Mandarin-speaking candidates who will be serving Mandarin-speaking customers."
Possess good presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to handle client expectations professionally.
Creative, detail-oriented, and able to multitask in a fast-paced project environment.
Self-motivated, responsible, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
Knowledge of commercial interior design, office renovation, fit‑out works, and construction site coordination will be an added advantage.
