Job summary

Randstad Malaysia is hiring a dynamic Business Development professional to drive new contracts in the Oil & Gas, petrochemical, and industrial automation sectors. You will act as a primary technical hunter, securing high-value deals and mentoring junior sales teammates.

You will engage EPCC main contractors, present Ex solutions, and negotiate terms to maximise profitability while building long-term relationships with decision-makers across project sites in Malaysia and the region.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Automation, Mechatronics) or Business with technical sales experience.
• Proven sales background in Oil & Gas, petrochemical, metal fabrication, or industrial automation sectors.
• Strong track record of meeting revenue targets and closing technical sales deals.
• Willingness to travel to client sites and project locations across assigned territories.

Responsibilities

• Identify and close new sales opportunities with EPCC main contractors and industrial plant clients.
• Present technical solutions including Ex control panels, junction boxes, and custom fabrications.
• Negotiate contract terms, pricing, and commercial conditions to maximize project profitability.
• Build strong, long-term relationships with key decision-makers to secure repeat business.
• Partner with internal proposal and engineering teams to prepare accurate, competitive tenders.
• Mentor junior sales personnel and provide regular pipeline reports to management.
