Job summary

Jabil Circuit Sdn Bhd in Penang seeks a Senior Industrial Engineering Manager to direct and optimize manufacturing efficiency across SMT and box-build lines. You will lead a team of industrial engineers to improve throughput, reduce cycle times, and support rapid NPI with CAPEX alignment.

You will design factory layouts, lead line balancing, and deploy Industry 4.0 solutions. A strong background in EMS/PCBA and Lean Six Sigma is essential, with fluency in English and extensive experience in

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.
At least 10 years in progressive industrial engineering within high-volume manufacturing.
3–5 years in a leadership/management role.
Strong EMS/PCBA/SMT or electronics contract manufacturing background.
Expertise in capacity planning, labor modeling, and line balancing.
Proficient with AutoCAD, MES, ERP (SAP/Oracle), and data visualization tools.
Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and Kaizen experience.
Excellent English communication and stakeholder management.
Lean Six Sigma Black/Green Belt is an advantage.

Responsibilities

Design and optimize factory layouts and material flow to maximize throughput.
Lead line balancing, bottleneck analysis, and cycle-time reduction across lines.
Implement automated material handling and Industry 4.0 solutions where applicable.
Oversee capacity modeling for equipment, space, and labor to support demand.
Collaborate with program management to evaluate ramp readiness and CAPEX needs.
Establish labor standards, SOPs, and time studies.
Drive CI projects using Lean and Six Sigma to reduce waste and costs.
Set IE metrics and dashboards to track daily/weekly KPIs.
Work with Quality, Process Eng, Production, Supply Chain, and Finance to resolve bottlenecks.
Provide DFM feedback during early product development and NPI phases.
