Job summary

FAIR WORK (M) SDN. BHD. is seeking an experienced Industrial/Process Engineer to lead and drive IE activities within an EMS/PCBA manufacturing environment.

You will develop, improve and optimize production processes, line layouts, workstations and manufacturing flow to boost productivity and efficiency. The role requires 5–8 years in EMS/PCBA/Electronics, strong IE expertise in a factory setting, and hands-on skills in line balancing, time study, capacity planning, and productivity improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Industrial/Manufacturing/Electrical or related field.
• 5–8 years of relevant EMS/PCBA/Electronics experience.
• Strong IE experience in a factory/manufacturing environment.
• Hands-on experience in line balancing, time study, capacity planning.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, 5S, Six Sigma or continuous improvement
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead and drive process engineering and IE activities in an EMS/PCBA manufacturing environment.
• Develop, improve and optimize production processes, line layouts, workstations and manufacturing flow to improve productivity and efficiency.
• Conduct time study, line balancing, capacity analysis, manpower planning and productivity improvement.
• Analyze production data, identify process bottlenecks and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
• Establish and maintain standard work, SOP, WI, process flow and manufacturing documentation.
• Support NPI / New Product Introduction, including process development, line setup, PFMEA, control plans and production readiness.
• Work closely with Production, Quality, Manufacturing Engineering, PMC and NPI teams to resolve process and production issues.
• Drive cost reduction, cycle-time reduction, yield improvement and manpower optimization projects.
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions for recurring production/process issues.
• Monitor and improve key manufacturing KPIs such as UPH, OEE, yield, cycle time, downtime and labour efficiency.
• Support SMT, PCBA assembly, testing and box-build manufacturing processes when required.
• Lead engineering projects and provide guidance to junior engineers / IE team members.
• Ensure processes comply with customer requirements, quality standards and applicable EMS manufacturing practices.
