Job summary

ZW Packaging Sdn Bhd is seeking a proactive HR Officer to manage recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, compensation and compliance. The role covers end-to-end recruitment, onboarding new staff, maintaining accurate records and supporting payroll and benefits administration.

You will help develop and implement HR policies, assist with performance management, training initiatives and employee engagement, while ensuring adherence to Malaysian labour laws.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Management or related field.
• Preferably with 3+ years in HR & Administration experience.
• Knowledge of Malaysian HR practices, payroll and employment regulations.
• Conflict resolution and healthy workplace relations skills.
• Strong organisational and time-management abilities.
• Able to handle confidential information professionally.
• Experience handling foreign workers immigration matters is a plus.
• Proficient in written and spoken English; Bahasa Malaysia and Mandarin a plus.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the end-to-end recruitment process, including sourcing candidates, interviewing, coordinating with hiring managers, selecting qualified candidates, background screening.
• Handle onboarding and orientation processes for new employees, ensuring a smooth integration into the organization.
• Manage employee records, ensuring accuracy and up-to-date information in HR databases and personnel files.
• Support the performance management process by facilitating appraisals and providing guidance to managers and employees.
• Support payroll process and ensure accuracy in compensation and benefits administration.
• Assist in developing and implementing HR policies, procedures and employee engagement initiatives.
• Support employee relations by addressing queries, grievances and disciplinary matters professionally.
• Coordinate and administer HR programs, including training, benefits enrolment and employee recognition.
• Ensure compliance with all employment laws, regulations and best practices.
• Keep track and assist on contracts, licenses, policies and administrative documents validity.
• Support management with other administrative and ad-hoc assignments.
