Job summary

Bagan Specialist Centre Sdn. Bhd. is seeking an IT professional to manage and support hospital IT systems, network infrastructure, servers, hardware and end-user devices. You will maintain LAN/WAN connectivity, troubleshoot network issues and support clinical and administrative systems.

You will collaborate with vendors, ensure IT security, backups, and documentation, and provide user assistance across departments. 3+ years in IT with healthcare exposure preferred; diploma/degree in IT required.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant IT experience; healthcare/hospital experience is an added advantage.
• Strong knowledge of networking concepts including LAN/WAN, VLAN, TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, Wi‑Fi and network troubleshooting.
• Experience with switches, routers, access points, firewalls or network monitoring tools will be an advantage.
• Good problem-solving and communication skills.
• Able to work independently and support users across different departments.
• Willing to provide support outside normal working hours when required.

Responsibilities

• Manage and support hospital IT systems, network infrastructure, servers, hardware and end-user devices.
• Maintain and troubleshoot LAN, WAN, VLAN, Wi‑Fi, switches, access points and network connectivity.
• Monitor IT infrastructure and network performance to ensure reliable and uninterrupted hospital operations.
• Provide technical support to users and troubleshoot IT-related issues.
• Maintain and monitor IT systems to ensure smooth daily hospital operations.
• Support hospital applications, EMR/HIS and other clinical and administrative systems.
• Coordinate with vendors for system maintenance, upgrades and technical issues.
• Assist in IT security, backup, documentation and system improvement projects.
• Ensure IT services comply with hospital policies and security requirements.
