Job summary

Doctors Hospital Cayman is seeking an IT Clinical Systems Engineer to administer, maintain and support the hospital’s clinical IT systems, including the HIS and EMR, as well as related interfaces and infrastructure. The role collaborates with Clinical Infrastructure Engineers, DevOPS and IT Support Technicians to ensure uptime and compliance.

The engineer will oversee deployments, diagnose hardware and software faults, and provide first- and second-line support across the hospital.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Information Technology, or equivalent computer-related certifications.
• Minimum three (3) years’ experience in medium-to-large hospitals, with demonstrated technical skills relevant to the healthcare industry.
• Minimum three (3) years’ experience with industry-certified clinical systems such as Cerner, EPIC, Meditech, eClinicalWorks, Allscripts, MedWorxs STAT, GE Centricity or other Tier-1 Medical Systems
• Minimum three (3) years in a supervisory role in the informatics industry.
• Full understanding of network topologies and data infrastructures.
• Mandatory working knowledge of Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Entra, Microsoft Office 365 (O365), Microsoft Exchange, and Microsoft Defender.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with Infrastructure Engineer, DevOPS and IT Support Technicians Team to support Information Services systems, infrastructure and deployments.
• Oversee the IT ticketing system and ensure timely responses as per SLA.
• Manage Application and Systems Change Controls and maintain KPI/ QPI reporting.
• Ensure staff support within agreed time limits and handle multiple open cases.
• Oversee rollout of new applications and systems; configure VOIP and related networks.
• Maintain hospital IT infrastructure and critical network services; monitor security applications.
