Job summary

Choongcons (Penang) Sdn Bhd in Penang is seeking a seasoned Construction Project Manager to lead high-rise projects from planning through delivery. You will coordinate multidisciplinary teams, ensure compliance with specifications, and monitor schedules and budgets to achieve on-time delivery.

The role requires a minimum of a bachelor’s degree, at least nine years in a main contractor setting, strong leadership, and excellent English and Bahasa Malaysia communication, with proficiency in MS

Qualifications

• At least 9 years of working experience with a main contractor on high-rise projects.
• Minimum Degree holder.
• Proven experience as construction Project Manager.
• A team player with leadership abilities.
• In-depth understanding of construction procedures and material and project management principles.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills with consultants and clients.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Required language(s): English and Bahasa Malaysia.
• Required Skill(s): Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with construction/project management software.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for planning, coordination, execution and monitoring of projects to meet quality, time, and budget objectives.
• Ensure projects comply with specifications, quality requirements and delivery schedules.
• Monitor all quality-related activities on the project.
• Oversee progress and effectiveness of the project quality plan and suggest improvements.
• Close engineering instructions and customer feedback including complaints and surveys.
• Coordinate and attend internal meetings and implement agreed actions.
• Ensure projects stay within planned budget and safety standards.
• Lead a project staff team and liaise with clients, consultants, sub-contractors and authorities.
• Perform any other duties assigned by management.
