Job summary

AEON Co. (M) Bhd. in Malaysia is seeking a Senior Executive for Import & Export Operations to ensure compliance with import/export regulations, handle customs requirements, and oversee all documentation for shipments.

You will coordinate with freight forwarders and suppliers, manage inventory and shipments, conduct audits, and train staff on trade compliance while collaborating with procurement, legal, and finance to keep shipments timely and compliant.

Qualifications

• Experience with customs regulations and global trade compliance.
• Experience negotiating contracts with shipping companies, freight forwarders and suppliers.
• Familiarity with free trade agreements and trade routes.
• Strong organizational skills for managing multiple shipments and deadlines.
• Precision in import/export documentation and customs declarations.
• Proficiency with import/export documentation (bills of lading, invoices, certificates of origin).
• Strong analytical skills to monitor shipment data and costs.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with import/export regulations and international trade laws.
• Oversee documentation for customs clearances and accurate records for audits.
• Coordinate with freight forwarders, shipping companies, and customs brokers to ensure timely transportation.
• Manage relationships with overseas suppliers and buyers for timely shipments.
• Track shipments and align inbound/outbound with inventory needs with warehouse teams.
• Conduct periodic audits of procedures and prepare reports for stakeholders and authorities.
• Collaborate with procurement, supply chain, legal, and finance teams and train staff on compliance.
