OSI Optoelectronics in Malaysia’s Johor Bahru area is seeking a Trade Compliance Analyst to support export/import compliance, sanctions, and customs regulations across APAC and other regions. You will help administer policies, perform screenings, and maintain regulatory records while coordinating with HR and operations.

The role requires strong analytical and organizational skills, attention to detail, and excellent verbal and written English communication.

Qualifikationen

• Must have a basic understanding of U.S. Trade Regulations (ITAR, EAR, OFAC) and APAC trade regulations.
• Experience interfacing with Government agencies (e.g., DOS, DOC, Customs, MITI) is preferred.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills, with excellent verbal and written communication.

Aufgaben

• Support the Senior Trade Compliance and Automation Manager and the Trade Compliance team in various activities and projects.
• Administer and maintain Trade Compliance policies, procedures, and forms to ensure compliance with import/export laws and regulations.
• Prepare, submit, and maintain applicable U.S., APAC region, and other country Government authorizations as needed.
• Screen, review, and resolve restricted and denied party screening transactions using a third-party screening tool.
• Maintain records of Trade Compliance transactions and close out documents in the system to meet regulatory and company record-keeping requirements.
• Review and process visitor requests, sales orders, end-user statements, export shipments, international transactions, and other Trade Compliance transactions.
• Coordinate with HR and management to maintain Technology Control Plans for sites and employees.
• Evaluate product information for jurisdiction and tariff classification according to regulations.
• Ensure transfers of items, data, and software comply with export laws across regions.
• Support automation projects (visitor management, screening, ERP/CRM systems, export shipments).
• Provide training to applicable employees and maintain training materials and records.
