Job summary

Qualifications

• Experience in sourcing and purchasing materials, equipment and services.
• Ability to negotiate favorable commercial terms with suppliers.
• Familiar with procurement policies and industry standards and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Verify purchase requisitions by comparing items requested to master list and clarifying unclear items.
• Forward available inventory items by verifying stock and scheduling delivery.
• Prepare purchase orders by verifying specs and price, and obtaining supplier recommendations and approvals.
• Source and evaluate suppliers, obtain quotations, and negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules.
• Obtain purchased items by forwarding orders, and monitoring/expediting orders.
• Verify receipt of items by comparing to orders and resolving shipments with suppliers.
• Maintain good relationships with suppliers and contractors to ensure timely delivery and service quality.
• Supports procurement planning by collecting and summarizing data, pricing and market trends.
• Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies and industry standards.
• Authorize payment for purchases and maintain procurement records.
