Job summary

General Electric (GE) is seeking a senior engineer to lead projects within Gas Power Engineering, acting as a recognized expert in services for customers and industry leaders. You will manage complex assignments with long-term impact and partner across global teams to drive customer success.

You will provide technical support for installations and outages, lead root cause investigations, and coordinate with manufacturing, sourcing, and services. Domestic and international travel will be required.

Qualifications

• Must hold a bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years in engineering or field services.
• Experience with synchronous generators and related mechanical accessories.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally on short notice.
• Available to work off-hours and weekends as needed for emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering support for unit installations, startups and outages.
• Lead root cause investigations with fleet impact.
• Ensure component designs meet customer requirements.
• Coordinate with manufacturing, sourcing, services and design teams.
• Communicate progress to all organization levels based on criticality.
• Travel to customer sites for technical reviews and outages; support sales/proposals.
• Prepare knowledge articles and customer communications (TILs, PSIB, etc.).
• Participate in global product service meetings to grow expertise.
