Job summary

STMicroelectronics is seeking a Maintenance Engineer for FOL Assembly in Malaysia. You will lead and manage maintenance activities, drive preventive maintenance, and ensure high equipment availability to support production targets.

The role requires hands-on experience with FOL Assembly equipment, strong troubleshooting capabilities, and leadership skills to coach a team of technicians and engineers. The ideal candidate will have a relevant engineering background with 3–7 years in semiconductor

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s/Master’s/PhD in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics or Manufacturing Eng required.
• 3–7 years of experience in semiconductor manufacturing or equipment maintenance in Assembly preferred.
• Hands-on experience with Front-of-Line (FOL) Assembly equipment and strong troubleshooting abilities.
• Experience leading or supervising a team of technicians or engineers.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills; able to work under production pressure.

Responsibilities

• Lead day‑to‑day maintenance activities for FOL Assembly equipment.
• Drive preventive and predictive maintenance programs to minimize unplanned downtime.
• Lead troubleshooting and root‑cause analysis for complex equipment failures.
• Ensure high equipment availability to support production requirements.
• Coach and develop a team of maintenance technicians/engineers.
• Promote safety, quality and continuous‑improvement culture within the team.
