Job summary

IMA Automation Malaysia, based in Bayan Lepas, Penang, is seeking a Senior Fine Tuner Engineer to lead the assembly, installation, commissioning and fine-tuning of automated machines and production lines. You will ensure performance meets specifications and support customer acceptance, while guiding junior engineers.

Join a global, innovation-driven team and travel internationally to customer sites. Strong hands-on experience with automation and a good command of English are essential.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering or Automation.
• Hands-on experience with automated machines, production lines or special-purpose machinery.
• Strong problem-solving and root-cause analysis skills.
• Good communication skills in English, both written and spoken.
• Ability to read mechanical, electrical and pneumatic drawings and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Lead machine assembly, installation and commissioning at factory and customer sites.
• Troubleshoot, fine-tune and optimise machine performance for desired cycle times and quality.
• Support FAT, SAT and customer acceptance activities.
• Provide on-site training and technical guidance to engineers and technicians.
• Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, controls and software teams to resolve issues.
