Job summary

Sanmina Corporation in Penang is seeking an Automation Engineer to explore, design, test, and implement automated solutions that streamline manufacturing processes. You will assess fabrication steps, deploy automated tooling, and drive continuous improvement in line with production goals.

Responsibilities include analyzing failures, sustaining automation systems, and supporting capital budgeting for new projects. A background in robotics and AI-enabled solutions is highly valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Mechatronic engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum knowledge on Equipment Maintenance.
• Experience with robotics, AI and machine learning is an advantage.
• Basic understanding of SolidWorks is an advantage.
• Basic understanding of a General purpose programming language is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Explore and implement new technology, equipment or system to automate manual processes
• To design and testing new equipment and processes
• To attend, sustain and improve production related automation issues
• To analyze process automation failures/problem and define improvement activities
• To prepare cost, feasibility study and justification for new project capital appropriator request project budget.
• To manage whole automation project start from design to implementation
