Job summary

IMA Group in Penang, Malaysia, is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to design, develop and implement automated production equipment for medical devices and other industrial applications.

You will work closely with Controls, Software, Purchasing, Fabrication, Applications and Service teams to deliver innovative mechanical solutions, perform calculations, produce drawings and BOMs, and support installation and testing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
• Proven experience in mechanical design within automation/machinery industries.
• Strong knowledge of design principles and manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop automated production equipment per customer specs.
• Prepare concepts, layouts and drawings; create BOMs.
• Collaborate with Controls, Software, Purchasing, Fabrication, Applications and Service teams.
