Job summary
Ambu A/S is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer (Equipment & Automation) for its NPI Process & Automation team in Penang, Malaysia. You will design and implement new manufacturing equipment and automation systems, collaborate with software, electrical, and controls engineers, and ensure FAT/SAT are completed to specifications.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Mechanical/Mechatronics or related field.
- Experience in equipment development and automation in manufacturing or R&D.
- Strong understanding of mechanical design, robotics, and automation systems.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement new manufacturing equipment, testing equipment and automation systems with robotics/vision integration.
- Review CAD models, drawings and BOMs from vendors for equipment and automation systems.
- Provide mechanical components (valves, actuators, motors, sensors) for equipment and automation systems.
- Conduct FAT and SAT for new equipment to meet specs and standards.
- Collaborate with software, electrical, and controls engineers to integrate mechanical components into full automation systems.
- Optimize equipment performance and efficiency.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for equipment-related issues.
- Provide training and support for equipment operation and maintenance.
