Job summary

Globetronics Sdn. Bhd. in Penang seeks an experienced Finance Executive to lead accounting and reporting, ensuring compliance with internal controls and statutory requirements.

A degree in Accounting/Finance and 5+ years' relevant experience are required, with strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, taxation and ERP systems. You will supervise AP/AR, monitor cash flow, prepare monthly and annual statements, coordinate audits, and liaise with auditors and tax agents.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
• At least 5 years of relevant working experience in accounting and finance.
• Knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, taxation, and accounting principles.
• Experience in audits and liaising with external auditors and tax agents.
• Familiarity with accounting systems and ERP applications.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good understanding of internal controls, statutory compliance, and financial processes.
• Strong communication, coordination, and interpersonal skills.
• Able to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet reporting deadlines.
• Experience supervising or guiding team members is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and maintain general financial and accounting functions to ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions.
• Prepare and review monthly and yearly financial reports, including Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow Statements, and financial projections.
• Monitor cash flow and account balances to ensure sufficient funds for day‑to‑day operations.
• Perform financial analysis, budget monitoring, cost analysis, and variance analysis with recommendations.
• Verify daily payment transactions to ensure compliance with approval procedures.
• Supervise and review Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions for accuracy and timeliness.
• Ensure proper fixed asset accounting and depreciation calculations.
• Review monthly inventory valuation for accuracy and compliance.
• Coordinate tax-related matters and liaise with tax agents for timely submissions.
• Coordinate internal and external audits and respond to audit queries.
• Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and statutory requirements; identify improvements.
• Assist in formulating financial policies and internal controls.
• Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, bankers, and authorities as required.
• Identify and resolve accounting and operational issues and support the Finance Manager.
• Supervise and support finance team members in daily work.
