Job summary

MINAMI ELECTRONICS MALAYSIA SDN. BHD. in Penang seeks a seasoned Finance Manager to oversee day-to-day finance and accounting operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

You will supervise junior staff in AP, AR, and GL, review transactions, prepare monthly and annual reports, and support budgeting, forecasting, and cash management. Required: Bachelor’s in Accounting/Finance, professional certification (ACCA/CPA/CIMA/ICAEW) a plus, and 4–6 years of experience with at least 2 in a supervisory

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Professional certification (e.g. ACCA, CPA, CIMA, ICAEW) will be an added advantage.
• Minimum 4-6 years of relevant finance/accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a senior or supervisory role.
• Experience in financial reporting, tax compliance and audit coordination required.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee day-to-day finance and accounting operations.
• Supervise junior finance staff in tasks such as Account Payable (AP), Account Receivable (AR), and general ledger entries.
• Review and verify accuracy of financial transactions, invoices, and reconciliations.
• Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management.
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
• Monitor cash flow, working capital, and banking transactions.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax laws, statutory requirements, and internal policies.
• Coordinate and support internal and external audits, including preparation of audit schedules.
• Provide financial analysis and recommendations to support management decision-making.
• Liaise with banks, auditors, tax agents, government authorities, and other stakeholders.
• Support Finance Manager in implementing process improvements and internal controls.
• Take the lead in special projects, system enhancements, and ad hoc financial assignments.
